stay with uncertainty or leave with finality?

1. you would never think twice on telling a person you love her back when she says she loves you..
2. saying "yes, i'll stay" is easy when love overflows
3. silence is tantamount to saying "i am not sure", do it your way anyway. Uncertainty is your best pal.
4. 2 years is more than enough to prove how much I care
5. nine months of being completely shrugged off is more than enough a proof for him to realize how much i care and love him
6. i am tired of chasing, always chasing
7. i cannot stay in an arrangement where insecurity dominates
8. waiting for you might lose my chance of finding something more real
9. i can love but i can move on, too.
10. saying how much i love you will not make me less of a person, it does not scare me either for it's going to set me free.
11. regrets would be far-reached for i have done more than enough
12. i no longer want to get stuck and thrown all over the place again everytime you swing from one pole of emotions to another.
13. a relationship is doomed to fail with one person certain and the other one lost.

we're gone and i will be okay.. i'd rather leave with finality than stay with uncertainty.

blow by blow

AUGUST 23,2010: When you cannot make up your mind which of two evenly balanced courses of action you should take - choose the bolder. (hmmm... so which then is bolder?)

is relearning to let go the fear of letting go.

AUGUST 24, 2010: partly happy to say that i couldn't care less anymore.. over and done with.. like a sponge reaching its saturation point.. quite liberating.

AUGUST 27, 2010: His FB Account deactivated.

AUGUST 28, 2010: john, are we back to square one? did you block me on FB or erased your account altogether? di na tayo mga bata e, what is it that you really want?
i'd be frank, i think by now you already know how i feel for you. I presume that you already know that i care and love you. i don't have to spell that out.
i was there for 2 whole years w/o expecting anything in return. 9 months of which I stayed even if you were completely shrugging me off.. i think that's enough to prove how much loyalty and love i can offer.
di kita maintindihan e, you always run hot and cold. and in between your swings, parang lagi ako naghahabol.
please tell me what you want, wag ganyan. marami na tayo pareho naranasan and we've been through all kinds of relationships in the past, so di na ito yung panahon for mind-games.
mahal kita and i would choose to stay with you if you want me to.. but if not, please tell me, i still wanna hear..

AUGUST 29, 2010: come on, john. tell me what you want? saying what you feel does not make you less of a person. do you want me to stay or leave? let's get this over with, once and for all. face your fears john, we both know it has been dragging for quite some time now., let's not make life complicated, should i stay o ales na lang ako? i'm giving you the free hand to choose.. it's going to set both of us free.

love

guess i am.. guess i am..

i love how it feels. scary yet warm in the heart..

you make me smile at the simplest thought of you. you make my heart skip a beat at the sight of your smile. we've gone through a lot and i hope we become better.

i care so much that it feels like i'm never letting go.

i miss you and i hope you come home because i will spend every minute of my time with you back in my arms.

i love you, and i really do.

Sunday, August 8, 2010

you asked me what were the things i missed about you? i got dumbfounded, i never had the chance to react and answer. I was in between holding back and divulging.. my mind never got the chance to gather its thoughts, it failed me. It was like sun's rays and happy clouds are surrounding me, preventing me to breathe.

A surge of happiness enveloped me as you bring your face closer to my monitor and asked me "anong nami-miss mo sa akin?". there's a lot and you know them, you've seen them, you heard them, you read them..

1. your kiss on my forehead
2. your hands on mine while you drive
3. the hug i make- around your waist or around your neck while in the car
4. our goodbye kiss
5. my hands on your face and yours in mine
6. your eyes on mine
7. the religious opening of my car door
8. ilog
9. sisig
10. our cravings for pancit
11. mcdonald's
12. your kiss on my shoulder

simply everything.

ugh.. come home..

Fair enough!

It has been a long time since the last time I poured my emotions out here in my Blog. What am I feeling now? ahmm.. nothing extreme really (hehe!)I'm happy the way things are now. Being busy with work, school, and toastmasters spare me no chance to rant and allow the devil play my idle mind.

Am glad that, in one way or another, things are slowly falling into place. The most important and special person in my life now is just around the corner. Thank God! After months of emo-ing! He may seem to be moving like a rocking chair, forth & back and going nowhere, but the hell I care now. I'm happy that he's back in my life, no matter how small the proximity is.. :)

HOOKED!

HOOKED!

“What a wonderful experience that first meeting was — being sincerely welcomed by the members when I arrived, tantalizing Table Topics, speech evaluations with substance and kindness! I was hooked.” That was Peggy Machol Bassett, a Toastmasters member of Houston Texas sharing her testimonial in celebration of Toasmasters’ 85th year founding anniversary.

Fellow Toastmasters and guests, good evening.

I have known TM for such a long-time now through words of mouth and constant invitations from friends who are also members of Toastmasters. But I guess it was only this year when, finally, I had the guts and found the time and willingness to do so. Too much enthusiasm to upgrade my speaking skills was there, thus, I contacted Marilyn Abella, the then club president of El Presidente, who was very friendly and accommodating in satisfying my queries about the club.

April 2010 was a jam-packed month for me. Spearheading a companywide business awareness campaign for its employees almost choked me to death. Mare, during these busy days of mine, never failed to cover me with invitations despite my slim chance of attending.
Finally, after several notifications, I attended the first club meeting on May 20, 2010.

Everybody has their own reasons for joining, do you still remember yours? Well, I have three.

First is, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.

Confidence in dealing and speaking with people from different levels of the organization is the primary qualification of an HR practitioner in any organization. In the Account Mgt Group, one must also be able to touch all facets of HR, I have, actually, except one- Training facilitation.

A Training facilitator, for me, is the epitome of confidence and credibility. As our Organization and People Development Manager puts it, “An effective Trainor must be sincere in facilitating a transfer of knowledge, not only in the form of trainor to trainee, but among trainees as well. To effectively deliver, one has to be very good in communication— there should be clarity of thought and ability to articulate them in several forms of speech; and, most importantly, the speaker must be able to talk with confidence.“

I can say that personally, I have not come to that point just yet. I joined Toastmasters to help me acquire the skills and competencies of becoming a good public speaker and Trainor.

Second, my decision to join Toastmasters gives me the chance to BUILD NEW RELATIONSHIPS.

Facing people especially strangers excites and stimulates me. I build a web of network not because I plan to run in a public office at any point in this lifetime but primarily because their experiences sustain me. The wisdom I get from new and old friends allows me to grow more personally, professionally, and interpersonally.

Thirdly and my deciding factor in joining was-- Toastmasters exudes a POSITIVE AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT.

In a conversation with a resignee during an exit interview, I asked him “Jun, what piece of advice could you give me as I am choosing to stay and not leave the organization?”, the employee replied frankly and sharply, “Ms. Nina, watch your back and cover your ass.” Great, it almost made me fell off my chair.

I remember the first time I stepped inside this room. I sat beside Rhia. Rhia’s first few words which struck me were “Are you still single?” It made me laugh a bit and answered “Oh, does it show?” I even thought she was going to match me up with someone single from the group. Tsk, too bad she never did. That act instantly gave me a sense of belongingness.

Tito Sonny, on the other hand, a prepared speaker, amazed and inspired me with his project. I told myself that I will be like him. The General Evaluator, Lynne Gamboa, was informative, positive, and encouraging in giving her evaluations. Anton and Christine, placed their usual friendly smiles as they thanked me for attending and participating in the meeting. Sally, a day after the meeting, added me as her friend on Facebook.

I got overwhelmed. Being in an extremely welcoming and positive environment is a breath of fresh air. It’s therapeutic for I have been living in a dog-eat-dog world for eight years!

Working in a big company is a survival of the fittest. You learn to fight back hard without being defensive and offensive. In Toastmasters, you climb up without even having to box out.

“What a wonderful feeling that first meeting gave – Toastmasters members showing you the path to confidence, new-found friends ready to lend a helping hand, and the club exuding a warm and optimistic atmosphere. I am hooked!” That was Nina Viray , a proud memberof El Presidente Toastmasters Club.
